Overview

Andros is the “Crab – Catching” central in the Bahamas but in Nassau we provide a venue here for you to catch crab. Learn how Bahamians live and forage of the land to survive. In this rich tapestry of culture and Heritage in the Islands of the Bahamas lies an age old tradition of catching crab this is something Bahamians did and enjoyed in early childhood.

Learn Culture and Heritage….

  • Learn about their natural habitat.
  • Enjoy the wildlife.
  • See how crabs survive.
  • Locate their homes, which are shallow holes dug in the ground.

Our land crabs are very tasty and traditional cuisines such as crab n dough and crab n rice are local gourmet favorites. However, the land crab, which is prevalent in the Bahamas and throughout the Caribbean, was probably rarely seen on a Bahamas holiday trip until now! This terrestrial crab is actually a saltwater and land creature. It lives in low-lying places near the sea coast and dig underground bunkers to the water level. Its legs span a foot from side to side, and its meat, a local delicacy, is white and sweet.

Every day, Bahamas Air charter aircraft are used for our Air Tours services’ Bahamas day flights from Nassau to your destination. You can have a personalized schedule and the opulence of a private party on your plane, regardless of the amount of day trips you do. Please get in touch with us and ask any questions if you’re interested. We’d be pleased to respond. Reserve your day tour with us right now!
